About InvestReigate

Bringing the community together

A community organisation, run by parents, putting on events for the whole town that are too big for any one local group to manage alone.

What it is

A community organisation run by parents

InvestReigate is a community organisation, run by parents and local volunteers. It brings local groups together to put on events that are too big for any one of them to run alone, and the money raised goes to local schools and charitable causes in and around Reigate.

It is run by parents, for the community, and is working towards becoming a registered charity.

Why it exists

Three reasons, in order

Community

Bring families and neighbours from across Reigate together, so people meet beyond their own street, school or club.

Fundraising

Run events at a scale that raises real money for local schools and charitable causes in and around Reigate.

Local connection

Put local clubs, local businesses and local families in the same field on the same day, to the benefit of all three.

How it works

How it is structured

  • InvestReigate

The community organisation that brings local groups together and runs the events.

  • The organising committee

Parents and volunteers from across the local community, who plan and run each event.

  • Our events

Two community events a year, open to the whole town: the Reigate Tunnel Beer Festival and Freshers Fair.

  • Where the money goes

Local schools and charitable causes in and around Reigate.

Who takes part

Our events bring together local clubs, businesses, volunteers and schools from across Reigate. For Freshers Fair, four or five local schools take part, each with a base on the field and a hand in running the day.

How we do it

A programme that grows year on year

We run two community events a year for the town. The first is the Reigate Tunnel Beer Festival, which we have helped run alongside and in support of Redhill Redstone Rotary Club for the last three years. The second is Freshers Fair, a free, open community day in Reigate Priory Park at the start of the school year.
