The day
The end of summer, all in one field
Reigate ClubFest is the first event InvestReigate runs itself. The idea is simple. Entry is free and there is no perimeter, so families come and go as they please. The money comes from inside the event, not the gate.
Local clubs, in sport, dance, gymnastics, Scouts and Guides, and the schools' own clubs, take a pitch to run taster sessions and sign children up at the one moment of the year when families are choosing what to do. Around them sit a meeting-point gazebo for each school, a main stage with performances through the afternoon, a barbecue and a bar, and a play lawn for younger children in the middle of the field.
It is meant to feel like a warm, family, end-of-summer community festival. Not a corporate fair.
On the field
What's on the day
Club and stall pitches
Two facing rows of local clubs running taster sessions the length of the field, plus traders and stalls.
A main stage
Performances through the afternoon from school choirs, dance groups and local musicians.
Barbecue and bar
Food off the grill, beer, Aperol spritz, soft drinks, and free water for everyone.
Children's activity area
A play lawn of crafts and games halfway down the field, with the park playground a short walk away.

The eastern field
We use the open eastern field of Reigate Priory Park, the same ground that hosts the Cheese and Chilli Festival. Flat, walkable, and right beside the playground.

Finding your way
Your way round the day
There is no set route and no queue to join. Here is how the field flows, from the Bell Street end into the park.
Arrive at the Bell Street end
Come in at the top of the field from the Bell Street side, where the welcome point has the programme and map, the lost-child point and first aid.
Find your school
Each school taking part has its own meeting-point gazebo in the row across the top of the field, so you have a base and a place to find your crowd.
Eat, drink and sit down
The barbecue, the bar and the seating are right by the entrance, so you can pick something up before you set off down the field.
Walk Club Alley
Two facing rows of local clubs run the length of the field with taster sessions and have-a-go activities, the place to try something new and sign up for the year.
Stop at the play lawn
Halfway down, an open patch of grass with bubbles, toys and parachute games, run by parent volunteers, and the park playground is a short walk away.
Finish at the main stage
The stage sits at the far end facing back up the field, with performances through the afternoon and room on the grass to sit and watch.

- Free, and there is no ticket. The field is open, with no perimeter and no gate, so you can come and go as you please.
- Getting here
- The park is in the centre of town, so walking and cycling are easiest, with cycle parking near the entrance. The event has no car park of its own; the Bell Street and town-centre car parks are closest.
- Accessibility
- Step-free routes across the field. The ground is grass, so plan for wet weather and wear sensible footwear.
- Toilets and water
- The park's toilets plus extra units on the day, including an accessible toilet and baby-changing, and free drinking-water points.
- Food and drink
- A barbecue and a bar, with soft drinks and free water.

Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Entry is free and there is no ticket, and the field is open with no perimeter. The day is paid for from inside the event, by club and stall pitches, the food and drink, and local sponsors.
Do I need to book or register?
Not to come along, just turn up. Booking is only for clubs and traders taking a pitch, and for businesses sponsoring the day.
Where is it, exactly?

Can I drive and park?
The event has no car park of its own. The park sits in the centre of town, so walking or cycling is easiest, with cycle parking by the entrance. The Bell Street and town-centre car parks are nearest.

Yes. There is a children's activity area beside the park playground, and clubs run taster sessions and have-a-go activities through the day. There is a staffed lost-child point at the welcome area.
Will there be food and drink?
Yes, a barbecue and a bar, with soft drinks and free drinking water.
What happens if it rains?
It is an outdoor event on grass, so we plan for the weather. If conditions are ever unsafe we will say so through our channels, so do check before you set off.
