Raise money for your group, without running a thing
Your group is probably already listed. Claim it, share your link, and your families can join free now. Once the first local shops open, a share of what they spend with them comes to you. No stall, no rota, no asking anyone for more money.
Claim your group
Find it below, tell us who you are, and accept the fundraising agreement. We email you a confirmation link to prove the address is yours.
Share your link
Confirming issues your group its own join link and a welcome kit: a QR code and wording you can paste into a newsletter or a WhatsApp group.
Watch it add up
Every household that joins through your link is credited to you, and a share of what they spend with local shops accrues to your group and is paid monthly by bank transfer.
Claim your group
One person with authority to act for the group does this once. A PTA chair, a club secretary, a churchwarden. It takes a couple of minutes.

The questions committees actually ask
- Does this cost our group anything?
- No. There is no fee to the group, no minimum, and nothing to sell. Your share comes out of the platform fee BackMyTown charges the shop.
- Do our families pay more?
- No. Shops agree never to list above their usual shop price, and most go lower. Choosing your group never changes what anyone pays.
- Do we have to run anything?
- No rota, no stall, no collecting. Share your link once and it works in the background. Most groups mention it again at the start of each term.
- What does our treasurer need to know?
- It is a commercial fundraising payment under a written agreement, not a donation, and Gift Aid does not apply. Where the group is a charity, BackMyTown acts as a commercial participator under Part II of the Charities Act 1992.
- Can we sell things ourselves, not just receive a share?
- Yes. Ask the team about a shop front of your own on BackMyTown for a fair, a quiz night or ticket sales, with no vendor to recruit. And if you run a club or class, you can list its timetable on What’s On.
The full terms are the group fundraising agreement, published in full rather than summarised. Worth ten minutes before you take it to your committee.
